Leandro (Lalo) de Armas
Lalo is a self-taught photographer based out of Chicago and Miami. He got his start capturing events at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) where he graduated in August 2025 with a major in Finance and a minor in Human-Computer Interaction.
His resume features design and marketing-related experiences in addition to his current role as an Associate at Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Outside photography, Lalo loves salsa dancing and traveling to salsa and bachata congresses throughout the US. He is also a passionate, beginner latin percussionist specializing in Puerto Rican Bomba rhythms with interests in learning the maracas and cajon.
Lalo loves running, playing soccer, spending time with his two younger sisters, relaxing with his bird and consuming How to Train Your Dragon content!
Lalo practices graphic design and video editing to push his technical skillset and complement his photography work. Recent favorite projects include ventures into merch design as featured above.
